The Miracle Of The Qur’an No One Talks About…Until Now
Shaykh Hamza Yusuf, as always, dropping wisdom to reflect. I have never heard tajwid being described as a miracle of the Qur’an. As Shaykh Hamza explains it though it makes sense. I hope someone does do some serious research and publish some works on this. Even a documentary on tajwid around the world would be interesting.

In 2008 Islamophobia wasn’t as rampant as it has been in the past few years. That was the year Obama was elected as President. Some have said that Islamophobia is displaced racism due to the election of Obama and the fact that it’s not easy to be racist against African Americans in the past so the bias and stereotypes are diverted to Muslims. Barack Hussein Obama’s name alone makes it a lot easier for those who dislike him being President to ridicule Islam and Muslims. It is fascinating that people still believe that Obama is a Muslim. I remember when Colin Powell said “Is there something wrong with being Muslim?” when he was asked about Obama being a Muslim. I was amazed and shocked this came from a Republican member of the Bush administration.

I am at fault for this. Sometimes I grab my phone and start taking shots at scholars when I attend a lecture or class. It is sad really that I will probably look at it for a few seconds and that’ll be the end of it. I am at also at fault of wasting so much time on Facebook. Mark Zuckerberg is making billions off of me wasting time. Facebook literally is supposedly worth over a 100 billion dollars. I’ve decided to take be more conscious in what I do on Facebook. If it’s not pleasing to Allah then I will abstain or stay away. There are benefits to Facebook, but even the benefits waste time that could be better utilized.
Another aspect is simply disconnecting to reconnect with the world. Shaykh Hamza also said in the clip get real friends with real branches saying we should walk amongst trees. Get out there and enjoy the world. He also mentioned reading books. Get of the Facebook and pick up a real book. This is something else that I have recently seriously begun to do. After all the first word revealed to Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was “Read”.

Angel or Man? He picks up a body off the streets of Syria with calm and ease
It is hard to see but in the video a man is seen dressed with a white thoub, white turban and a belt around his waist almost identical to the way the Prophet (s) and the sahaba use to dress walking the streets of Syria during this chaotic period. Everyone else is frantic running around whilst this man is calmly walking like nothing is happening. He then picks up a body of a wounded person with ease and continues to walk towards a crowd of people and delivers the body to them. He then vanishes from the seen. More
