Interesting developments in Egypt in the post-revolution election politics. There are two candidates running. The Mubarak-era prime minister, Ahmed Shafiq and the Muslim Brotherhood’s candidate, Mohammed Morsi. Mufti Ali Gomaa suggests that Ahmed Shafiq is closer to Allah than Mohammed Morsi.

I think Ali Gomaa has lost his credibility with regards to political issues a long time ago with his strong stances against the Egyptian revolution and most recently this (and of course many other situations in Mubarak era) . May Allah guide him.
