Sad and unfortunate.
Dear friends: as-salam ‘alaykum.
It has come to our attention that an edition of Shaykh Hamza Yusuf’s much beloved translation of The Purification of the Heart is to be immanently released by a well-known publishing house in the UK. It is with a heavy heart that we inform you that this edition is in actual copyright violation and as such, we urge our friends and well-wishers not to purchase, retail, wholesale or distribute this print edition. Sandala is releasing the only authorised edition in April, God willing. In the meantime, we hope and pray that we are able to resolve the issue with the UK publisher as quickly and responsibly as possible.

While it is inappropriate for UK publisher to do this, it is also frustrating that the book is no longer available to buy, and goes for $150 on Amazon/Ebay. That kind of demand with effectively zero supply will result in knock-offs being published.

Whoa that is a high price. I’ve seen it on sale at conventions in bazaars for $40 bucks. According to Google, the prices are pretty good ranging from $17 to $60:
